Marketplace BID #32 is fortunate to have the support of a number of city and community partners who work with us every day to help our district achieve greater success. They include:
Department of City Development
Department of Neighborhood Services
Environmental Collaboration Office
Public Safety
Public Safety is important to any BID. Within our district, we work with the Milwaukee Police Department – District #3 and Community Prosecution Unit CPU. The CPU includes representatives from the Milwaukee Police Department, the Department of Neighborhood Services, the District Attorney’s Office, Sojourner Family Peace Center, and Safe & Sound. A few resources available to our BID include:
- Safety Audits, conducted by CPU staff trained in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design. We encourage property owners to have a Safety Audit conducted, and we can assist with identifying resources that will make your business safer.
- Monthly Crime & Safety Meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month from 6 – 7 p.m. at MPD District #3 (2333 N 49th St). We encourage community stakeholders to attend these meetings, learn about activity reported to the police department, and ask questions.
- Safe & Sound Camera Program
- Crime Prevention Through Environment Design
Funding Partners
BID #32 is generously supported by the Zilber Family Foundation with a grant to “Activate the Streets” in 2017 and 2018.
